NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan’s Kurt Ondash capped his junior football season at Cornell with a career-high in receptions in the final regular season game and second team All-Ivy League honors.
Ondash, who starred at New Canaan High School, had 10 receptions for 194 yards in a 48-34 win over Penn last Saturday. He finished the season with 54 catches for 856 yards and five touchdowns. The week before the Penn game, Ondash had nine receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. He had an 87-yard touchdown pass against Bucknell, the third-longest touchdown pass in team history.
He was selected All-Ivy second team with four Big Red teammates. Cornell finished the season 5-5 overall and 3-4 in the Ivy League. A clip of two big catches by Ondash are included in this Cornell video link.
