NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A Louises Lane woman and her son escaped from their home unharmed Monday evening after hearing intruders burglarizing the home, police said.
New Canaan Police received a call at 7:04 p.m. Monday from a woman who lived at the home. Police said the woman and her son had been in the home all day, but heard a loud crash and banging of someone going through a room on the home’s main floor. The homeowner said she and her son went to a room where the door was secure from the inside and began to yell. The woman and her son left the home and called 911 from a neighbor’s phone. Police K-9 Officer Zira did pick up a scent during the course of the search of the home.
